Who: Rich and Kathy
Where: Mexican Riviera Cruise
When: May, 2015
Why: Need a Cruise More Than Disneyland
The other piece of interesting news that happened yesterday is that I heard back from a recruiter about a different part-time technical writing contract for Oracle. A couple of weeks ago I’d asked if it could be remote and I’d heard nothing until now so I wrote them off. The recruiter’s news is that Oracle is open to it being remote. So now I’ve been submitted for 2 part-time remote tech writing contracts. Here’s hoping one of these pans out so we can take our Food & Wine Festival trip this fall. But, for me, it’s back to planning our upcoming cruise.
We thought it might be helpful to have an idea of what we’ll be doing on a daily basis so that we’ll know what to pack. Rich can then assess his wardrobe/shopping needs this weekend.
There are several itineraries. There’s the typical Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, and Cabo San Lucas itinerary. There’s the overnight in Cabo and day trip to PV. And then there’s our favorite: An overnight in PV and a day trip to Cabo.
This ship has just had some new bars added so we’ll want to check those out but the entire ship is new to us. The first thing we’ll do is explore the ship and probably play most of where we dine by ear. We do have ressies at Nick and Nora’s and we hope to do the “Cat in the Hat” breakfast and the breakfast at sea if it’s available.

Thank you! Remote contracts are very competitive but not everybody wants less than full-time work so here’s hoping one of them comes my way…
